Newly renovated and very clean/nice-looking hotel in "alpen-style". The hotel sits astride a central hill close by the mountainside, offering what is arguably one of the most spectacular and attractive views of the Bad Gastain valley. There are no elevators in the building, so it is not recommended for the infirm - but then that is true of the whole Bad Gastain valley, which consists of quite steep slopes all over. There are many backpacking/trekking options, especially at Sport Gastain in the upper valley, and there are free spa-quality water springs (for drinking) in the city, as an alternative or supplement for the spa treatment.

Perfect location for skiing holidays (center of the town, 5 minutes walk to main lift, ski rentals etc.). Very nice apartment, well equipped, lovely panoramic view to the town and city, spacious dinning room, nicely decorated, cozy and spacious living room/lounge zone.
It was tricky to drive up the hill to the hotel because of snow and ice. That why snow chains are obligatory in this region :)

Close to skilifts, railwaystaion, SPA and shops. The apartment was spacious and nice, beautiful view over the valley from the balcony. Good value for money.
We had 11 noisy neighbours (boys around 19 years of age), which were loud the first couple of nights. Noise carries trough hallways and walls. Be careful not to break any of the IKEA-glasses in the apartment, as Alpenhof charge EUR 5 a piece...! The reception is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Great location for a ski trip - close to lift station, train station and reasonably close to the supermarket. Close to some nice Apres Ski bars too. Nice modern apartment in good condition. Luggage storage area come in very handy on our last day as well.
The apartment was fine but could have done with some tea towels and a scourer to save us buying them.
